Don't go pre-ordering yet - I'm not sure if it's a regular 2D beat-em-up. I can't find any screenshots, but some sites say the game - World Fighters Dream Mix - is in the style of Super Smash Bros Melee.
Nevertheless, take a look at this official Flash preview. There's an interesting symbol and silhouette at the very end.

Oooo...I saw the guy with the whip (Simon...even though I'd prefer Richter). Did anyone notice the Bloody Roar symbol...I think the silouette(sp?) was of Yugo...?

It's damned hard trying to find any info on this game, but a few sites seem to agree that the announced character list (so far) is:
Bomberman
Peach Taro
Master Higgins
Bonk
Takao
Yugo
Rika
Simon Belmont
Dracula
I guess you have to try and recognise the rest from the trailer.

Just thought I'd mention that the
Konami World Fighters site has been updated.
It
is a rather cutesy-looking Smash Bros Melee type game.
I was hoping for a regular one-on-one fighting game with Marvel Vs Capcom style graphics. I'd love the chance to play as Optimus and kick ass!

That's pretty unfortunate how they are using the revamped Simon Belmont look from Castlevania Chronicles instead of an older look. Also, Yugo looks a bit out of place...lol.

I hope that doesn't turn out like the other 3-D SNK fighters. Fatal Fury Wild ambition was kind of mediocre and Samurai Showdown did not go over too well...never did play that.
Here some pics of King of Fighters 2001 for PS2...

I really like the character art that they use for the characters (next to their lifebar.

Ive got that game and 2002 for my dreamcast, they are awesome, I like the new fighters they are all well balanced. I can't wait for more from SNK like Samurai Showdown(Spirits) 5, Real Bout Fatal Fury 3, Last Blade 3, and the ohh sooo loveable Power Instict 5, where are these games at?
