The picture quality and audio are solid. The subtitles are good but do include a few typos and strange grammer. The subs are still easy to understand, and this is not an anime like child's toy where you need to understand the exact translations. I only had two problem with the anime: 1.) Eventhough the thefts were unique, the storyline, learning about their father Heinz or the relationship between Hitomi & Toshio, became repetitive. 2.) The Intro: three girls doing aerobics in leotards. If you are looking for a fun comedy with a few twists and turns, then this is an enjoyable series. However, if you are looking for a great mystery to be solved I would suggest getting Detective Conan. If you are looking for exciting characters that pull of amazing thefts then I suggest Lupin III. Overall, I give this series a 7 out of 10. I did enjoy watching this series, but I did not watch it from beginning to end. I usually watched anime in between each of the DVDs.

subs are bad/terrible IF they are even there.. engrish at best. video/audio ok for an old show.
