Reviews for Inu Yasha Part 6 Perfect Collection

No real problems here the occasional pixelation but that's about it. So overall it was good just like the previous sets that have been put out by FX in the past and by EZDVD in the present.

Audio:

Loud and clear on both audio tracks no problems here.

Subtitle:

While I didn't notice any problems with the timing I did notice various spelling mistakes mostly with missing letters or added letters. The only example I remember at the moment was on the third disc and it was Ssesshomaru instead of Sesshomaru but it?s nothing that can't be figured out relatively easy though.

Comment:

Well much like the rest of the sets this one is a mixed bag episode wise the whole series is that way. But it's still not bad. If your reading this review chances are you've bought all the sets up to now or are planning to so for those who like Inuyasha it's not bad.

I really like the quality of the Inu Yasha Box sets! Clear and colorful picture with no pixelation!

Audio:

As good as ever! Nothing can't stop you from putting your soundsystem on.

Subtitle:

For some reasons the subs are not so good as they were in the sets 1-5. Don't know why, but the quality is no longer so high like the first sets.

Comment:

Hope that they will soon go back to the high quality subs. Can't wait for the release of Vol. 7!

I found the colours to be stunning throughout the entire set and I'm happy to say that I haven't had the same problem with disc three freezing on me. That may be an isolated problem rather than a production error. The bitrate remains high for all the episodes in this set because they don't cram too many episodes onto each disc.

Audio:

The sound quality of this set is perfect. There were no hisses or funny noises or problems with the volume level. Reading the previous review they mention that the audio switched to Japanese on them every episode. I didn't have that problem but if I let the disc run to the end then it would restart from the first episode on the disc in Japanese. This is the first time I've ever seen this in a set.

Subtitle:

I have to mark down a little for use of ugly white subtitles with this set. They are well timed but hard to read in a few spots as well it seems that the translator is getting lazy now. The meaning of the words is still there but it seems to have been written for a second grade viewer so you don't get as much depth to the meaning of things as you do with the tranlation for the dubs.

Comment:

I personally prefer these thinner plastic clamshells to the older gatefolds because they lock closed more securely. I expect different people will have different feelings about this. If you've gone so far as to buy the first five sets then you'll want to buy this one as well. The quality of the story telling remains the same as previous story arcs and hasn't gotten too repetitious yet. Every so often a story will focus on a minor character to change the pace of things.

The video quality was very good...until I got to disk 3. The DVD started to freeze and I was unable to continue watching the episode because when it unfroze, it became choppy...tsk, tsk, tsk. The menu screen is very boring as well because it's just a picture...no cool menu screen with moving animation!

Audio:

The audio was very good...until I got to disk two. Every episode I had to keep changing the audio back to English...it was very upsetting because I'm a lazy person...and obviously fx-yes it says ez...but the box still says fx-is getting that way by not paying closer attention to these errors

Subtitle:

The subtiles changed to white...I also had to turn them off every episode...

Comment:

I bought this the day it was available...and I am very excited that I have added on to my Inu Yasha collection. It saddens me though because it seems as if fx is just getting lazier and lazier. For example, the box is even worse then the last one. It's made of a cheap plastic and when I try to put it back in the tray...it makes a horrible snapping sound and I'm afraid my DVD is going to crack. I wish they would go back to the origional boxes-plus it would match the rest of my collection a lot better...I wish fx would have taken the time to make the experience more enjoyable and take the time to correct flaws...this set is not up to par as the other 5 were...even the fifth one was starting to go down hill. I really hope that this doesn't happen to the next sets.
