On my video set up the image was clear with no visible pixelation or blockiness. Some chapter divisions were off in a couple of episodes.

Audio:

English and Japanese are crystal clear, I'm substracting some points since Hakufu's english VA is quite annoying.

Subtitle:

Easy to read subtitles, no mistiming to be found.

Comment:

I've bought this series because I have read the manga, While it is unfaithful to the manga it was more fun than Hellsing. As for extras go...Panty shots galore

When I first started watching this series it was pixellating all the time for me... then I realized that I'd killed another DVD player. After a trip to the store and installing the new DVD player I'm happy to say that the colours are vivid and devoid of any pixellation that I could detect on my shiny new player.

Audio:

What can I say here... it's a rip of the R1 source and the person doing the work didn't screw up anything. It's every bit as good as you can get anywhere else.

Subtitle:

Wouldn't it be nice if all subtitles were nice and easy to read like these. Of course with the solid dub job provided as part of the "perfect collection" I'd be surprised if too many people watch this in its original language with subtitles.

Comment:

Holy panty shot! I'm amazed to think that an anime with quality writing and strong characters would resort to this level of fanservice. It seems that every possible opportunity to show a girls underwear or to rip off her shirt is taken in this series. It's actually as close to hentai as I've seen without showing penetration (there's even a soft core rape scene in one episode). If you don't mind or if you enjoy panty shots then there is a decent series here to watch. If seeing girls underwear every five seconds bothers you then I'd suggest checking out some other title. As far as extras go... it's nice to see the R1 extras included on both discs as well. I was particularly surprised to see the photo session with the model they used to work out camera angles for the fight scenes (so they could show as much panty as possible I presume).

This is a bright colorful series. I found only one spot of pixilization which lasted less then a few secs that was located in the ending credits on the second disk. no complaints animation very simular to Real Bout High School

Audio:

I found no errors to speak of in this series, music fits series well

Subtitle:

had no complaints about this part

Comment:

The draw back of this series is many of the elements of it mirror other stories. The main character has a stupid mentality that almost seems like Excell from Excell Saga. The school fighting seems and looks like Real Bout High School and The game rival schools. This series is still worth while to see, it has its funny moments I would give the series a B overal

The quality is fine

Audio:

The voices are fine except that the main character keeps saying cojin all the time in one of the episodes and gets annoying this is only my opinion.

Subtitle:

Some of the names are wrong and the subtitles styles are constandly changing as you go to the next episode.

Comment:

Yet dispite all these thing I said about this anime I have to say that it is all right. Some parts are almost to close to Hentai.

Slight pixalation during high-speed scenes, but not bad at all. Really good rip overall.

Audio:

Watched it in english. The voice actors are decent for this anime, as I have seen much worse. No sync problems. I kinda liked the opening theme. Also has japanese dialog.

Subtitle:

They are there. Didn't really check beyond that as I prefer my anime in english if I can get it.

Comment:

Pretty decent series. Kinda campy and there are a few scenes that border on hentai. Lots and lots of fanservice for a non-hentai series(only Najica:Blitz Tactics has more). The story is ok. Based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it is modern day and school kids called Fighters (yea, kinda campy) replay out their roles as ancient personalities. Some take their role as fate and follow it, others fight tooth and nail against it. Pretty violent, but not too excessive.

I have to say that the video quality was very nice. Clean and crisp, I never really noticed any problems with bleeding or pixelation.

Audio:

Great audio, no problems here. Just as a side comment, I think that the English dub wasn't so bad actually. It was nice to hear the american voiceovers actually pronounce the foreign names well. I've tried listening to the dubs of Full Metal Panic/Nadeisco and they were just horrible! Just my 2 cents on that ^-^

Subtitle:

Subs were..ok here. There weren't many missing/misspelled words, only a few here and there, but still very comprehensible. I eventually just went to English dub, but that's because I rather enjoyed it, the subs are still decent to read though.

Comment:

Overall it was a rather good set, the *only* bad thing I have to say about it is that during disc 1, I noticed a lot of skipping around episode 5, and it just got worse and worse til I had to just play it in my computer (before I was playing it in a PS2). The second disc however, played fine on my PS2! I'm not sure if this was just a fluke with the burning or my PS2, but it didn't bother me too much. Still a great buy and a good/entertaining series!
