Having watched the MAC perfect collection from 1-54, I must say this a HUGE improvement, it looks good enough its hard to tell from the R1 release. The pictures is clear, clean and in high resolution, and ive yet to see any pixelation or hint of pixelation anywhere. Im probably going to re-buy 1-54 after seeing this set because the MAC set just doesnt compair.
Audio:
Dual audio, English 5.1 and Japanese 5.1, both audio tracks are loud in clear.
Subtitle:
Exact copies of the viz subtitles, which I dont like check out my review of the MAC Inuyasha perfect collection for details on this and how the mess up the translation.
Comment:
Good set, high quality video definately recommended to anyone.

I like that they have continued the trend of only six episodes per disc. The video quality remains crisp with vivid colours. Pretty much indistinguishable from the R1 release.
Audio:
The audio is also identical to the R1 release as far as I can tell. Top notch sound quality for the dub track and the spot checks I made on the japanese language tracks are beautiful as well.
Subtitle:
These are perfectly timed and easy to read subtitles. Just like you'd expect from an R1 release.
Comment:
I actually prefer these plastic clamshells to the nice artwork covered gatefolds that FX was releasing. I feel that my discs are better protected by these packages. As I've been watching this series with my 3 year old daughter I've noticed the language becoming more mature with this release. Around this point it becomes inappropriate for younger viewers if you are concerned about some basic swear words being used. Aside from that, if you're looking at this volume you can expect more of the same when it comes to story line and character development as was found in the first three perfect collections.
