Only one word can describe this sets video FLAWLESS. I didn?t see any pixilation throughout the entire series which is quite amazing. As others have said it is similar to that of X which was also perfect just plain great job on FXs part. All HK sets should be of this caliber! What else can I say?

Audio:

The audio was truly flawless no problems with the English dub at all it?s loud and clear just as it should be. It sounded great and there were no annoying voices. I cannot truly comment on the Japanese audio because I only viewed it briefly on occasion but it sounded fine. The starting theme is pretty good too one of the better anime songs in my opinion.

Subtitle:

The subs were good too this set is just great; easy to read and understand. Also I posted some screenshots that show examples of the subs throughout this set.

Comment:

I bought this series with low expectations and it ended up being a lot better than I expected. The characters are cool and different to say the least and the story is good. The people who worked on this show truly did a fine job and FX did an amazing job.

One word, perfect. Not a single flaw in all 26 episodes, not even for a second. I hope future FX releases are of this calibre.

Audio:

No problems, standard Dolby 2.0 sound for English and Japanese tracks. Great soundtrack as well.

Subtitle:

How they should be done. Bold yellow with black borders. Proper translation rather than dubtitles.

Comment:

This is the best quality HK set i've bought so far, didn't notice a thing out of place. The box itself is a standard 3-disc gatefold with plastic enclosure. I've scanned the discs and all parts of the box and posted them in the screenshots section if you want to take a look. Disc 1 & 2 Extras = Anime Trailers. Disc 3 Extra = Textless ending from episode 25. This is (currently) the best looking anime i've seen, the mix of hand drawing and CGI is perfect, makes the series almost seem real. I think a previous reviewer said it best, it's like Cowboy Bebop with a meater underlying story. It's a worthy addition to any anime collection, buy it now!

A man should appreciate the beauty of a well done release. Opening your eyes is all it takes to see the perfection that is before them. These are every bit as good as the R1 release they are ripped from.

Audio:

When hearing perfection, a man should pay attention to the details. The balance of soundtrack, speech and effects is incredible.

Subtitle:

A man should be able to read the text before him. Understanding the story is no problem with crisp yellow subs and impeccable timing. One small note: The translation for the subs is significantly different from the dubs. The sentances take on entirely different meanings at a few points. Either way you choose to watch it you should enjoy yourself though.

Comment:

A man should add this release to the top of his wish list. A good chunk of the team from Cowboy Bebop worked on this series and it shows. Most episodes stand on their own fairly well but they all do an excellent job contributing to the climax of the story. Don't read any more about this, it would only spoil your enjoyment.

The video was damn near perfect. It definately ranks as one of FX's better releases. It could even give X a run for its money in this department. Some of the scenery is for lack of a better word, gorgeous. The colors are vivid and bright and really complement the scenery. I had to look really hard to spot even a trace of pixelization and even then, I was not sure whether it was actually pixelization or whther the animation was meant to be that way.

Audio:

Audio is pretty good. The dub track is done exceptionally well. I liked the opening theme and the ending theme which changes halfway through the show isn't bad either.

Subtitle:

Definately R1 rips. No problems here.

Comment:

This show sort of reminded me of Cowboy Bebop. There are many similar themes here, however, unlike Cowboy Bebop, there is a lot more meat to the overall story. But, the way it ends leaves a lot to be desired. Not that there are any loose threads hanging but just the way it ends left me with a bleh feeling. It's sort of like what happened with Scryed. In the end though, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this anime. I had left it to be viewed after Vandread and Infinite Ryvius but I enjoyed it a bit more then both of those shows because it somehow managed the perfect fusion of standalone episodes with episodes that featured the overall story arc. This one is definately a must see.

Great R1 rip. Perfect video with no pixelation during the action sequences. Much better than many of the resently released FX stuff. Colors are rich and deep and the blacks and grays are very detailed. Cross coloration and aliasing are both pretty much non-existent. Flawless IMO.

Audio:

Didn't have any problem with the audio with this release. Both Eng and Jap track are present with no dropouts or distortions. Perfect quality.

Subtitle:

Two subtitle tracks. The first is the subtitle of the show, and no, these are not dub-title as it was with some other release. The second is the subtitle track for song translation and in-show text such as billboard, notes, etc. Didn't see any sort of overrun nor missed lines yet. Somebody else might want to double check though.

Comment:

A great release. I was holding my breath hoping FX would not mess this one up since the show has so much CG, pixelation would really kill it. To my surprise, FX really came through. The dvds looks gorgeous.
