The videos really good on this set I don?t remember seeing any pixelation throughout the 26 episodes so as usual FX did a good job when they made this set. The art is interesting enough and kind of unusual well different from what I?m used to but that fits the mood of the show. It has a bit darker look and I like that personally.
Audio:
The audio for this show was pretty good two of the voices are done by Spike/Fayes Vas of Cowboy Bebop sorry don?t know their names. But everything is good in this field.
Subtitle:
The subtitles appeared fine to me nothing to note here. I checked them from time to time and sometimes had them on for a while. They were very easy to read.
Comment:
This series is something I can?t watch that often but it?s still interesting enough once you actually understand it. I?m just happy it didn?t end with the first seasons ending overall decent series specially for a mecha.

Real good to say the least. No noticible flaws in the quality. Awsome art, very clean.
Audio:
Audio is Somtimes realy bad when its noticed. Big O's audio in my mind was not noticed at all, which is a good thing. All the sound effects went perfectly along with action, thus drawing you into the series all the more. Sound track was good too. The songs were'nt the kind that get stuck in your head and can never get out, but were enjoyable and perfectly incorperated into the plot. audio was above average to me.
Subtitle:
Since it is available with Eng. dub it does add to the effect of not just having to watch it in subtitles. thumbs up to that. The mouths lined up relativly well. Beside that for review sake, there was no flaws in the subtitles i saw because i did not see a subtitle at all. Just being honest.
Comment:
The Big O series draws you in, especially second season. It didnt have anything your litlle brother cant see and it was good. Real good. Every episode conects you more and more to the characters. Great Character developement. Good clean art. Awsome plot. Waht more to ask for.

This However only happened in my Widescreen TV ! In a 4:3 TV and in My PC DVD player i didn't noticed this / Doesn't happen and the subs are placed propelly like in DVD 1 and DVD 2... I don't know why this happens ...maybe is just some problem with my Widescreen TV and the DVD i have connected to it, but i found it very strange, really

The video is damn good quality. FX did a nice job compressing all 26 episodes on to three discs. I didn't notice any pixelation. The picture looked fine on my superwide HDTV and looked great on my laptop.
Audio:
The English dubs on Big-O are top notch. This is probably part of why it was such a big hit here in the US on Cartoon Network. I mostly listened to the Japanese, which I like even more on this series. VEry good voice actors. The first series is only in 2.0 for English and Japanese. The second series (the one Cartoon Network brought about) has 2.0 Japanese and 5.1 English. The giant robot battle sequences rocked the shit out of my 7.1 sound system! Kudos, FX!
Subtitle:
The subtitles are Region 1 and are very good. If you're a slow reader you may have trouble because parts of the show are dialogue-heavy and the subtitles will flash by quickly. I had no problem with them. No Engrish that I noticed. Again, a very good job.
Comment:
An all around top notch set. Big-O is a pretty unique series. Part of me wants to criticize it, because it takes a little piece from many of the major Anime series and movies, plus a lot of more American shows, such as the Batman cartoons from the 90's. But it makes a very thought provoking and entertaining series. I did think the last episode smacked of "deus ex machina," but I guess that was what they intended considering the four strongest robots are called "Mega Deus" and numbered with Greek numbers. I highly recommend this series for rabid anime fans, and it makes a very good series for those just starting out. It was one of the first series that got me interested in anime, and this set is well worht the money. To buy the complete series one and two on Amazon (Which you can't do because they're out of stock) would cost $83.47. So this is a major deal.

No flaws I can see. FX has done another good, quality rip. No blocking, no lines, no dissappointment.
Audio:
I only listen to English audio, and as far as that goes, again I had no problems with. All the voices are clear and intact!
Subtitle:
Subtitles were easy to read and didn't interfere in the viewing process. If you wanna read subtitles and watch the series, you won't have a hard time doing it.
Comment:
I used to not like Big O until I saw parts of season 2. As far as the rip is concerned, this is a good FX rip, up to par with their other sets. Giant robots, a strange and mysterious plot, and a good cast of characters to boot, Big O shouldn't be judged by its cover.

For the most part their is no errors, video quality looks no different then what was shown on Cartoon Network except. On the third disk there is small errors that show up on the last two episodes.

Crisp and clean

This is a nice oldie but goodie to add to the collection if you liked the series. I was able to finally catch a things I missed noticably episode 14 which I never saw when Big-O was getting rotated so much on CN. No complaints here
