Video:

The video on this series looks like someone videotaped it then transfered it onto DVD. The first episode on disc one is the only one that has a clear picture. All subsequent episodes are slightly fuzzy/grainy. On some of the pre/post commercial graphics it says "tv asahi" in the top left hand corner.

Audio:

The audio was inconsistent throughout the series, like some episodes were louder than others. But for the most part it was barely tolerable.

Subtitle:

My biggest gripe about this series is the awful subtitling. The english was very badly written. In one episode, instead of saying "she went to the laundromat" it said "she went to the place where you vouluntarily wash clothes" (or some thing to that extent). The grammar was very bad in all episodes except for #1. They constantly were mixing up the verbs and nouns.

Do not buy this set. It was a complete waste of money. You are better off waiting for another version or even buying the region 1 dvds.
