The video overall is really good there is some pixelation from time to time but they put 28 episodes on 3 discs and it didn?t suffer too much.

Audio:

I really love the dub of this series and the music is phenomenal this and Rurouni Kenshin have the best anime soundtracks in my opinion truly great. Everything fits the mood whether it is joy or sorrow I can?t praise it enough.

Subtitle:

The subtitles were good and easy to read just used the subs with the dub and everything looked good.

Comment:

I originally saw this series on Cartoon Network quite a while back and I recently re watched; this series is one of the few that is every bit as good the second time managed to watch every episode in two days. I can easily recommend this series for those who like character driven stories. But there is one thing I must say this Anime IS connected to the games as it was apart of a project called the Dot Hack Project if I am not mistaken and as a result you will be left with one question but not a big one overall. It is a lot better when you play the games and watch all the animes though so overall id say the project was a success. To sum it all up though id say .Hack Sign is one of the best animes I?ve seen.

The video was really good, a few times there was hardly noticeble pixelation but other than that you'll have to look real hard to notice anything. The video was very clean and bright as a dvd quiality should be. Everything synchronized with voice and subs and to top that its in WIDESCREEN format. Great dvd quality!

Audio:

The audio was GREAT. Three tracks, one english, one jap and one for music only, all of them in 5.1 stereo. No syncing problems at all, everything sounded clear plus the music was beautiful. PERFECTION!

Subtitle:

No problems with the subs, R1 rip. The timing was perfect, right in time, no missing nor drop lines, There were not "dubtitles" (diferent from english track) wish is good. Standard FX subs, yellow with black around. GREAT!

Comment:

There were extras in each disc (comercials of the show in japan), it had 4 chapter breaks per episode (ope, partA,partB,end) the preview of the next ep. was at the end of partB. This series is very slow but with a good story, is kind of like Lain with everything very serious and great music, not much action but again great story. If you like this kind of series this set is the best way to get it, great set, Highly Recomended. Equipment Used: APEX AD-1110W DVD, DAEWOO 20" TV

Very light problems on the first disk nothing that is to noticable though. Very clean crisp animantion one of the better ones I have seen

Audio:

Everything sounded good no complaints

not a fan of subtitles

Comment:

FX did a great job with the the package and disk art on this one. .Hack // Sign is one of the better anime I have seen. I does make my curent top ten list. I love to watch end to end aanime sometimes and this title does have a little bit of a darker edge to it not quite as bad as "Series Experiment Lain" but that direction though. Overal I think even if you are not a great fan of this series it is worth getting to have in your anime DVD collection

On disc one I had quit a bit of skipping. I think about every other episode skipped several times. This is probably due to having 10 episodes on the first disc. The second disc was much better and had some skipping problems but was pretty good. The third disc was flawless. I saw almost no pixilation throughout the entire series.

Audio:

The audio in English and Japanese sounded very nice. Nothing to complain about.

Subtitle:

Seemed to be R1 ripped from what I could tell. Very nice.

Comment:

This is a nice set to pick up. However, if you don't like character driven stories, stay far far away.

Very good video quality. The animation itself is almost flawless. Little action/fighting is used throughout the series but does not downgrade the series at all.

Audio:

Voice actors were chosen correctly for the Japanese and American series. Perfect amounts of emotion were used for each character, including minor characters. The music is phenomenal. This music is inspiring and fits each situation perfectly, amplifying the emotions.

Subtitle:

Excellent subtitles. Few or no grammatical/spelling errors. Easy to understand.

Comment:

This is one of the great animes. This anime has sweeped Japan and the US and is making its way to Europe. An inspiration anime about a teenager, named Tsukasa, who has been trapped in the world. Found few or no flaws in any category for criticism. This is an anime you won't want to miss! Its a perfect mixture of mystery, action, drama, some romance, and some comedy. If I could, I would have rated this movie six out of five.

The video quality on this set is quite excellent, but not perfect. If you are viewing this set on a high def system, like a computer, then you will most certainly notice pixilation durring most of the action. But do not let this discourage you, as the pixilation is not that bad at all, and unless your purposfully search it out, you will probley not even notice it. However, there are a few parts in which it will stand out extreamly bad, and these parts are mostly in the opening title sequence, so no big loss. Durring the opening sequence they use a lot of "static" and circuit backgrounds and then fade in a character's image over it, resulting in a lot of pixilation.

Audio:

The audio is great. A lot of people praise this anime for it's music score, and rightly so.

Comment:

The box for this set is a bit plain. FX reused the cover image they had for their non-perfect release, which I did not care for. The inside is rather nice, if plain as well, featuring images of the main characters from the series in pairs. The back of the box is also standard fare. No engrish in the description.

The video on this title was drop dead gorgeous. I couldn't catch flaws whatsoever. Beautiful all the way around.

Audio:

The audio sounded great to me. I compose music and do active listening on studio monitors, and I could definitely say, the audio was flawless on this set as well.

Subtitle:

What can I say? I'm a sucker for dubs. I watched the subs for a little just to see. They seemed like perfect R1 rips. Come on people, this is an FX release. They put out good stuff!

Comment:

I got my pre-order, and I must say.....perfect. The video, audio, packaging, are all flawless. The dubbing job by the creators is a little above average, but not perfect. I noticed a couple off sync words with the mouth movements, but this is NOT FX's fault. That is simply the series producer's fault. Anyways, I'm not even done with the series, but the story evolving is fantastic. If you're a brainless bug that only gets entertained by Dragonball Z, then this series may not be for you. There is a lot of dialogue in this series over action, but the great part is....it holds interest. Animation and music are beautiful. All in all, the plot of this series is one of the absolute coolest plots thought up in a very long time. If you feel like a series that's a little different, this is one to pick up. I'm actually quite impressed how the English dubs made it over to America so fast when the series started in 2002. Anyways, highly recommend. Jared
