Amazing! Complete R1 rips to my observation. Theres hardly any pixelation (at least none that I had noticed) and the animation scenes are clean and thorough.
Audio:
Great! Both English and Japanese Tracks sound amazing, although Keitaro's voice may leave a high pitched ringing in your ear. =P But all in all, both tracks are clear and well sounding, an R1 rip all the way through. =)
Subtitle:
Very Nice! The wording and grammar in the subtitles is great. Of course, as in most animes, the wording doesn't match the English dubs perfectly, but in my opinion, the subtitles do a better job of narrating the story anyways. Clear, vivid and easy to read.
Comment:
Sidenotes: * Spring Special only includes Japanese track. It doesn't come English dubbed, but if you are a hardcore "jap dub/eng sub" person like I am, you wont mind anyways. ;) * No Episode 25. Didn't really phase me (as I have the R1 Christmas DVD), but if you wanted a set where you could watch the whole series from Episode 1 to the Spring Special, that missing part may be crucial (although each episode hardly ties in with the next). * No Extras. If you're looking for nice R1 extras, sorry, you won't find them here. (Examples include cast interviews, character galleries and other nice things) * However, great packaging, english menus, and it's comparible to FX sets. All in all, a very nice set.

Great! I never noticed much pixelation except for maybe a tiny bit for under a second during a really high action scene, but it was nowhere near complainable. Definetely a R1 rip. 5 stars.
Audio:
English and Japanese audio. The Japanese portion seemed to be a tad bit lower in volume than the English, but it didn't bother me at all. The English dubbing of this series is without a doubt horrendous (in my honest opinion). I dont mean this in the sense of quality, it sounds fine, it's just that the voice actors are ... how do I put this.. inadequate? Please do yourself a favor and watch this in Japanese with subtitles, it is 10 times better.
Subtitle:
Perfect! I watched the whole series with them on and never noticed a single flaw. Always timed precisely with perfect grammar.
Comment:
This is a really fun series, though it isn't for everyone. Some people can't handle anime without tons of action/explosions/mech, but those looking for diversity and mostly humor with a bit of a love story, please check this out. It feels like a breath of fresh air each time I watch it. I forgot to mention-- There is NO episode 25 with this set. Why it isn't here... I don't know. I find it kind of odd since the Winter/Spring specials are here. Also, I believe this may be a rip of the FX set... I base this on the in-dvd menus, which to my knowledge... neither had episode 25. Never-the-less, this is still a good set worth picking up.

Very sharp and clear. No pixalation or other image problems. the Fx version I reviewed said this version was grainy but then, that was through a crappy 15" monitor. I viewed it again through a 51" big screen and it seemed good.
Audio:
Sound is loud and clear. The only problem is that the english track actually stays low in comparison to the japanese track. Also, on ep. 4, there is a very noticable audio snyc problem, where the audio is ahead of the scene by almost a full sec.
Subtitle:
After comparing this to the FX set (which I just got through), this is actually a little bit better. The subs are actually a little different than the FX set, in terms of size and placement (FX have their right at the very bottom, while this version is a little higher, but not in the way of the show) but have the same translation. Also, some subs actually go by fast and require some pausing. The spring special has bad subs in terms of spelling and grammer, but that is from a different source (the rest seem to be R1)
Comment:
After comparing it again with the FX version I have, there isn't much too say. This one has a problem (audio problem mention before and subs) , but then the FX version has its problem (disc 3 - it freezes during one part of a conversation and disc 2 - one episodes subs actually stop during a conversation and require rewinding for a sec or two). Either way, both aren't bad, but then, they aren't the greateset.

It was perfect from what I could see. I viewed it both on Sony 32" flatscreen and also a Sony 61" projection. No noticible pixlation that I can recall.
Audio:
Awesome sound. No 5.1 though? Not like anime DVD usually have it anyways
Subtitle:
Perfect subtitles. They seem to be in sync with the ENG audio track.
Comment:
Great set which includes the specials. (not the OVA though, but the OVA sucks anyways)
