Great video quality, for a nice looking series.

Audio:

Sound quality is fine. The English dub and soundtrack get the job done nicely.

Subtitle:

English subs are the offical ones so good timing and spelling. The Chinese subs are in the main part of the show but don't show up in the opening or previews though. I can't read Chinese so I can't say if they are good or not. All subs are light grey with black out lines.

Notes* *This collection is a R1 rip. *I watched this series on a COBY brand DVD player (DVD-224 model) with AV cable on a 25 inch RCA TV *Yep, "Yami No Matsuei" and "Descendants of Darkness" are different names for the same show. The series it self: This show was a let down for me. A lot of people seem to like it but I found it to be boring. Some of the characters are set up to have what could have been a great rivalry but not much comes of it. The Mystery parts seem bland and had a been-there-done-that feel to them. The comedy bits were overly cute and did not fit well with the rest of the show. Oh well it looks and sounds nice at least.
