Same as the first set the video quality is more than great! Clear and no pixelations!

Same as for the first set! A great soundtrack and a quality that worth of it!

Subtitle:

Yellow with black shadows behind it. Easy to read even on a white background. No mistakes or misspellings!

Comment:

Again a real good job from FX!!! Look forward to the next set!

Very good much like the first set no pixelation or any other picture problems. But with 6 episodes per disc that?s to be expected.

Audio:

The audio was loud and clear for this set as usual no problems.

Subtitle:

The subtitles were in a big yellow font with a black outline very easy to read.

Comment:

Well if you?re looking at this second set you probably have the first one and their pretty comparable more of the same and the show continues to be entertaining. So if you have the first set and liked it and you can find this one it?s defiantly worth the money. The series itself is pretty enjoyable and the quality of this set will not disappoint.

Absolutely beautiful video! As usual. The video is clear of any pixelation or color warping. The video also plays very well on either DVD players or in a PC. Good size.

Audio:

Crystal clear audio. I watch it in Japanese though, but the audio was wonderful as always! I love the Japanese voices and will never switch to the english! Much too harsh! But the audio was perfectly sync'd with the video and the sound was also perfect. No damage to audio tracks in the transfer.

Subtitle:

Subtitles were very good. It's not often that I see problems with translations with FX buys and this one is no exception. Didn't notice any missing lines or misspellings this time around.

Comment:

I absolutely have fallen in love with this series! The characters develop so much as the series moves on and I am so looking forward to seeing the rest of them!!!

Being that FX made the reasonable decision to limit the episodes to 6 per disc, the video is noticeably improved over the releases with the standard 8-9 episodes per disc. Inu Yasha is a very colorful, effect filled show.. and you don't lose anything going to the more reasonably priced FX set.

Audio:

Didn't notice any problems in this department. The source material is great, and FX didn't damage it at all in their transfer. I -love- the English VA's for this show... especially Inu Yasha, who, despite sounding a little like Keanu Reeves' cousin, has a voice very befitting of his character.

Subtitle:

The source is bang-on for the sub-titles department... and so is the FX release, obviously. No problems here, except that I can't bear to watch the original voice track after falling so hard for the English dub.

Comment:

Are you really going to shell out $25 for every 3 episodes of this show... when it runs into the hundreds? I don't think so. I'm not, anyways... FX is my hero for releasing these 18 episode sets, which are amazingly well-priced, and beautifully put together. The packaging is a knock-out, as with most FX sets, and you won't be disappointed at all.

This is another top notch release from FX. Crystal clear picture even during the fastest action scenes. This is a rip of the Viz DVD release (it says so in the closing credits). The bit rate averages just over 7.2 Mbps throughout the disc. For a point of reference on this scale The R1 release of Spirited Away averages 9.0 Mbs while the Ghibli Boxed Set averages 4.5 Mbps. The higher this number is the better picture you're likely to get on your player.

Audio:

Both the Japanese and English audio tracks are beautiful 2 channel stereo. They have good recording levels so there isn't any annoying buzz and it's all been ripped from the R1 release so there aren't any odd noises along the way.

Subtitle:

No problems at all with these subtitles. Like the first set, the subs are a slightly different translation from the dubs. I actually prefer the wording of the dubs most of the time even though I prefer the Japanese voice acting. Fortunately the English dubs are better than average for dubs so I don't mind watching them in English.

Comment:

Disc one had one spot where the picture got stuck in an endless loop that was only one or two seconds in length. It was easy to get past by pausing the disc and using the frame advance to get past the problem frame. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem with disc one. Disc three is mastered a little differently than the first two discs. Each episode is treated as a seperate track with chapter breaks for op creds, part 1, part 2, ed creds, preview. Typically a DVD will have the whole series treated as one track with chapter breaks within that track. This means that if you look at your countdown timer to see how much anime is left on your disc you will only see how much time is left in an individual episode rather than the whole disc. I didn't have any problems with any of the episodes though. It was just odd that the disc was mastered this way. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions about this. I'm still enjoying this series immensely. I'm tempted to get the non-perfect sets just so I can watch the rest of this series without having to wait for VIZ to finish releasing this series to provide us with R1s to rip.

Good picture for the first 2 dvds. Skipped a little in certain scenes in the first 2 dvds. However, the 3rd dvd, I couldn't watch it from episode #4 onwards. The picture just hung/froze. Can't forward or skip to another scene. *EDIT* I got my replacement dvd #3. The hunging/freezing problem is solved. From episode #4 onwards, it plays perfectly without any glitches.

Audio:

Good japanese and english audio. Very clear.

Subtitle:

Subtitles very easy to read. Didn't notice any missing lines at all.

Comment:

The biggest disappointment I have is the DVD #3. It couldn't be played at all from episode #4 onwards. I'm not really sure whether it is just my dvd players (I have 7). In the forum, some ppl did experience the same problem. Overall, I do enjoy this series and am looking forward to Part 3. *EDIT* I believe the problem with DVD #3 has been fixed by Flora. Therefore, there should be no worries at all about purchasing this set.

Pretty good, although there were some areas where the video would pixelate for a moment, but not many and in my opinion a minor issue for a pirate anime dvd.

Audio:

No problems with the audio at all. Perfect. It is, just like the first part of the Inuyasha Perfect Collection, a rip from Viz's R1 dvds, which I really appreciate.

Subtitle:

Subtitles are also rips from Viz'a R1 dvds. Very good. No problems that I noticed, although I rarely used the subtitles and didn't pay much attention anyway.

Comment:

The only bad experience I had with this product was that it arrived in pretty bad condition - packaging, disc quality, a lot of skipping and freezing issues. However, i am sure that this is a problem with the specific copy I received, and not with the product in general, so you should be pretty safe ordering this. I just seem to get bad luck. :) One odd thing, was that the menu for the third disc in this set was quite a different style from the first two (and the first three from IY Perfect Collection Part 1), a sort of low quality 3-D computer graphic of a Japanese temple arch thing (not sure what the proper word is), the Tesusaiga embedded in the ground, and a small Myoga bouncing around on the arch. I preferred the original menu style, with screenshots from the anime, but I am sure this change was Viz's decision and so no fault of this item since it's only a rip. Also, I thought the slight color difference in the pattern surrounding the front cover picture was a cool variation from the first which was more grayish or maybe even reddish. Also, there is a trailer for Ranma in there somewhere, which I skipped, and also the extras for each disc are not identical like in the first set. Overall, my copy's physical condition notwithstanding, FX's IY perfect collections are a great item for any Inuyasha fan's collection, the best of all the different Inuyasha sets out there, no question.

both tracks are great, although japanese is better in my opinion. though I did sense the dubbed version was a tad bit lower than the jap but nothing big

Subtitle:

perfect subs, on tiny bitty minro mistakes was one letter missing in one word. you only notice when you're actually using teh subs

Comment:

great release by FX, you have a few extras, extras imply previews of the inuyasha part 3 by them unfortunately those aren't subbed, so unless you know your japanese you'll enjoy them. great episodes, get to know Naraku's past, the feelings between Kagome and Inuyasha grow, a new character comes in to join the gang, well two if you count her kinda two tail cat. Inuyasha fans get your hands on this!!
