Video:

This series has a lot of action but despite that fact the pixelation is very minor. The little bit of pixelation there is, is probably on the R1 release as well but I cannot confirm that either way since I have only seen the later R1 volumes.

Audio:

The audio here is excellent personally on both the English and Japanese tracks. Both tracks are loud and clear as they should be and there isn?t much else to note.

Subtitle:

The subtitles are good very clear and easy to read no problems here. There are two sets though one set goes with the dub word for word [commonly called dubtitles] and the other set is a translation of the Japanese language track.

Comment:

This is one of my favorite series easily and I can defiantly recommend it. This set contains the uncut version of the first 26 episodes which is the Spirit Detective Saga and while it?s not as good as later sagas it?s very enjoyable. Defiantly worth picking up if you like fighting animes.

Video:

Video Quality is quite good, as mentioned there is a bit of pixelation during intense movement scenes, but they are nothing really to get to annoyed over, being it is very minor. Video is ripped from the Manga box set, which is a rip of the Region one dvds. Can tell since the Yu Yu Hakusho: Spirit detectivs english logo appears under the name of each episode, along with the english dub that funi distributed.

Audio:

Should really have 2 seperate audio catagories. English dub audio is excellent, very crisp, and easy to hear. Japanese dub though, is a bit low. Both are in 2 channel (Stereo) audio.

Subtitle:

Subtitles are spot on. With a few minor spelling errors occuring probably one time or less each disc. Not a major spelling error, just instances of a p instead of an o in them. The big problem is, they are the english for the hearing impaired subtitles, rather than the japanese translated subtitles. As subtitles for the english dub, they are perfect. Subtitles for the japanese dialogue, not close at all. Was a bit disappointed in that.

Comment:

Really good box set if you listen to english dub of shows. Was very dissapointed that the subtitles were the hearing impaired subs. But otherwise, very good box set for the first portion of Yu Yu Hakusho.

Video:

the video is ok but the dvds did stop and get stuck.

Audio:

the audio is good the eng is fine and so is the jap

Subtitle:

the subs are right on and not hard to see

Comment:

overall the show rocks and the quality of the dvds is just fine but not the best.

Video:

Ripped from the Manga set. The video quality is very good. A good bit of pixilation durring movement, but it does not stand out too bad. No macroblocking. I watch most anime on my computer (mid-high end).

Audio:

Good Audio. No real complaints.

Subtitle:

I watched this series dubbed, but checked out the subs to review. They appear to be well done with no problems from what I saw.

Comment:

No Extras. The box is very plain and a bit sub-par. The black text on the back is unreadable when it crosses over Yusuke's image. Images are too dark on the cover. This is a great series. A classic amongst fighting anime. I recommend it.
