Video:

The video quality still is on par in this set! The set has vivid color and pixelation is only noticable if you pause on a high intense action scene. The video and color crisp and clear. I have tested this set again on numerous systems and sized tv's, all check out great! The sets just really feel like the Dragon Ball that wasn't over colored in the US by FUNi.

Audio:

The R1's have the original mono sound that DBZ was made in... Yet, MI decided to produce a pseudo-stereo effect with their sets. The result is no echoing and clear audio. It is not real stereo sound like Dolby 5.1, but this wasn't how DBZ was produced in the first place. You will hear every yell and action noise perfectly.

Subtitle:

The subs are the only part that won't get that perfect 5 score. Usually the only problems are bad name translations of the characters. You can easily understand what is going on and who is who, even if you aren't familar with Dragon Ball. On Disc 1 the subs go off the screen to the right one time, very briefly. The subbers still choose to add "Uncle" after Gohan speaks to/about someone. (IE: Uncle Tienshinhan, etc) He also calls Bulma "Aunty Bulma" sometimes. No Biggie. Cell is sometimes translated to "Super" Mr. Popo is translated to "Bobo" Vegeta gets translated to "Dende" and "Dare" Dende is translated to "Tintin" Piccolo is translated to "Pike" Yajirobe is translated to "Yachkebi" Chichi gets translated to "Gigi" Trunks gets translated to "Terakas" or "Terakers" Dr. Gero is translated to "Kero" Kamesennin aka Master Roshi is translated to "Master Goten" or "Master Wutian" Kami's Lookout gets translated to "Tienshin Palace" Senzu gets translated to "Fairy's Pea"... Go figure ::shrugs:: Solar Flair is translated to "Sun fist" Vegeta's Final Flash technique is translated to "The Ultimate Lightning Cannon" Masanko is translated to "Demon's Glare" All in all it isn't a big deal... It is super easy to know who is who and what the subbers mean, so don't be discouraged to grab this set ;)

Well it is time for the Z Warriors to hit Cell hard. This set ends around the time the Cell games start up. You won't want to miss this set... This saga is one of peoples' favorites out of all of them. You may know what I am talking about *Hint* Gohan ;) Anyways enough ranting, grab this set from MI because their Dragon Box rips are great!
