Video:

Beautifully done. 1.85:1 Anamorphic screen. Everthing was clear. There was no pixelation in any parts. It is 3D graphic, but somehow, the whole thing looks like hand-drawn. Very distinct looking video. The animation is beautiful and looks surreal. The introduction sequence is one of the best I've seen.

Audio:

Again, very well done. Very nice. You can choose between dolby digital 5.1 and DTS surround sound. Play it loud and you can really hear crisp and clear. Superb. The mixture of orchestral and electronic background music fits the movie quite well. It looks like they put in a lot of effort for soundtrack. Also has a dolby 5.1 for Chinese audio.

Subtitle:

Flowless. Almost perfectly timed and tanslated. No complaint what so ever. Also has Chinese and Cantonese subs.

Comment:

Overall, it's a superb package. There are lots of extras: recording footage, addtional story scene, title song etc. This is a very unique movie. I can't think of anything that looks like this movie. The closeset thing that comes to my mind is Totoro. I am not saying those two movies are alike. However, in terms of atmosphere, mood, and pace, they are quite similar. I can see some action fans might find this movie too slow and artsy. But the story is very subtle and I find the whole settling enchanting. It's almost dream-like. I can see why this movie won the grand prix award at an animation festival 2 years ago. I can wholeheardedly recommend this title to anyone who's looking for artistic animation and storyline. The production is a superb quality. It is truly a hidden gem.

I'm pretty fluent in Korean and I agreed with the subtitles for the movie, even though I watched it in Korean, but great job.

Comment:

It saddens me that Korea is trying to get their animation out and its not as popular as Japanese anime. I still liked it. It was a cute movie.
