Overall:
Video:
This is a pretty old series, and it's defnitely showing its age. The show started in the 80s (not sure on exact year) and you can already see the colours aren't looking well. This definitely detracts from the experience, but it's not bad. Along with the colours, black dots appear on the screen (kinda like a movie at the theatre is). This is makes me feel like I'm actual at a movie theatre. I always like being at the movies, so that's a plus. For how old the series is, this is actual looking pretty good.
Audio:
I can't say I liked just having the English audio, but I don't even think the R1s have Japanese audio. Anyway, the audio is very nice. Good because there is only one audio setting. Also, most of the voice actors are terrible, but it's what makes it funny in a sense.
Subtitle:
I can't really rate this because, well, there are none. I was really hoping that there was going to be some, but there wasn't. Darn.. I gave it a perfect score because I didn't want to detract the score just because the subtitles were there.
Comment:
I haven't finished the series yet, but what I have seen is definitely positive. Keep in mind this this would be the most action-oriented series ever, but it has it's moments. It's definitely a unique series. You will find yourself liking at least one character. Pick up a copy if you liked the video game (and I did).
