Video:

The video on this DVD is perfect not once was there any pixelation or any noticable picture problems. The colors and lines of the art are crisp and perfect.

Audio:

This is the only bad thing about this DVD the volume shifts around like crazy when someone fires a gun it gets extremely loud and at some points the characters voices get so low you can barely hear them.

Subtitle:

Its a direct R1 rip so the subs are very good but are smaller then most other animes ive seen.

Comment:

This is the best GITS movie dvd you can pick up the picture is great and theres tons of extras some profiles are in all japanese but its still good.

Video:

The video was awesome, perfect image and played well on both DVD players and PC. No pixelation, skipping, odd coloration, graininess, or banding. The quality of video was excellent. No complaints here.

Audio:

As I always do, I watched it in Japanese and the sound was excellent. No sync problems or odd volume changes. I did notitce that the volume got a little bit louder during the sections that just music was playing, but it wasn't a big deal. I didn't happen to hear it in english, so I'm not sure about the other audio tracks, but the japanese was very good.

Subtitle:

I was overall fairly happy with these. They were a good size and easy to read, but unfortunately this is a very complex movie, so sometimes they had to switch the subtitles faster than you are able to finish reading them. The other thing I saw was on occasion they would tend to pop up several seconds after the speaker had begun. Other than that, a good translation as far as I can tell, and overall, easy to read.

Comment:

This is a very complex movie. Definitely have to be in the mood for this one, but a good watch. This happened to be the very first anime I ever saw, so I tend to be partial to it. The artwork is amazing, but I feel the characters lack slightly, although that may have been intended because they are cyborgs. Great sci-fi movie, a definite must have if you enjoy that genre.

Video:

The film itself is excellent quality, the only knock the disk has is in the menu screen when you move the cursor over an option and it lights it is actually for the option below the one you highlight

Audio:

excellent quality didn't notice any errors

Subtitle:

they are the same as every other version of Ghost in the Shell I have seen

Comment:

The is not a bad version of the movie at all. By now most of us have seen the film or own it. The only plus compared to others of this film is the special features have a featuret on how the film was made, trailers, character intro's. Overal this is not a bad title at all to pick up if you have seen the film or not
