Overall:
Video:
The quality continues to be pretty top notch throughout these DBZ MI sets. No matter if I am watching it on a 34" TV or a 20" TV... The colors are so vivid and perfect. If there is any pixelation it is becoming hard to see. You cannot complain about this one!
Audio:
The audio is a psuedo-stereo sound that MI made out of this set. The R1's have the original mono.. But there is no echoing or problems like past series that have tried to do this. I hear everything perfect with a TV's normal speakers and with a TV with surround sound speakers and a receiver. But, like I said it is not Dolby 5.1 or anything like that.
Subtitle:
The only thing usually wrong with the subtitles is the names are translated wrong, but you can easily tell who they are talking about. Garlic and Garlic Jr. are sometimes translated to "Kalik" or "Kalik II" Gohan still says "Uncle" before everyones names on the subtitles... IE: "Uncle Piccolo, Uncle Krullin" Master Roshi is still sometimes translated as "Master Goten" Frieza is translated to "Folisa" and King Cold is "King Krudder" *Don't ask me where they got those two, lol* Yamcha is sometimes "Yincha" and Vegeta can be "Dende" Krillin aka Kuririn is still translated to "Krullin" One weird thing is during an episode or two, Piccolo is translated to "Beka" Korin is translated to "Kalim"... The Red Ribbon Army gets named "The Red Silk Army" Masanko is translated to "Devil Flash" A lot of skills are translated to romanized forms. Still with the name problems you will still fully enjoy and know what is going on.
Comment:
This volume starts off with the Garlic Jr. Saga and ends with the Trunks/Androids Saga. This is one of my favorite sagas so you should check out the next volume for the Cell Saga. These Dragon Box rips are great. Buy them up, you won't be disappointed ;)

Video:
As before, a rip of the Dragon Box set. The animation rises a notch in the later episodes leading into the Androids saga. Minor pixelation present, but barely noticeable once you're hooked on the fight scenes.
Audio:
Altered from the original Dragon Box, or so I hear. However, this sounds perfectly fine to me. The background music stands out, especially the theme playing as the Saiyan Trunks transforms against Freezer and his father, King Cold. Every breath can be heard with minor difficulty. Everyone loves that recap music as well. Miracle Zenkai Power! *Fades off into singing*
Subtitle:
For the most part, the subtitles are clear and easily understood. There are, however, a few name issues that arise, namely calling Vegeta "Dende" for a lot of the set, Yamcha is subbed as "Yincha" and there are some romanizations of Freezer and King Cold's names. Regardless of such minor faults, the subtitles are excellent and will not deter from the overall enjoyment of these excellent episodes.
Comment:
Following the presumed defeat of Freezer, the Garlic Jr. episodes play out, and finally the meat of these discs comes out of hiding, in the form of the Trunks saga and eventual beginning to the Androids attack. The animation has certainly become better as the series progresses, yet stays true to Toriyama's artwork upon which it is based. Without a doubt, Manga keep on getting better with these releases. The packaging features the Earthling Kuririn, in a position identical to the former releases, the menu system is suprisingly effective, and they are animated wonderfully.
