Overall:
Video:
Overall, great video quality. No major problems noticed, just the usual pixellation when fast moving scenes are present.
Audio:
Also great quality. No problems, but the opening/ending themes were louder than the dialogue for the episodes.
Subtitle:
Hmm...ok, here's where the problems begin. Chinese names were used for almost ALL the names, except Onizuka and Julia. LOTS of grammar (read: Engrish) and spelling errors are present...but still understandable. Most of the subtitles were well-timed, but there were still instances of the subtitles either lagging or being advanced by 1 or 1.5 seconds. Also, there were two episodes which used subtitles from other episodes. Episode 32 used episode 35's subs, and episode 38 used the subs from episode 36.
Comment:
Overall, this set is probably just a repackaged release (4 discs - DVD9's) and can only be recommended to those who can tolerate the subtitle problems. Great series though. =)
