Overall:
Video:
Digital satellite rip. WOW-WOW widescreen and all that jazz. Episode count per disc is a bit off... 1-8: Slight brightness at times. 9-12: No problems. 13-22: Video quality is a little better (?) 23-26: Slight flickering during ep 23. Small black lines. Probably my dvd.
Audio:
No complaints.
Subtitle:
Good. Sentence structure and grammar is hit or miss but the names are right 90% of the time. Possibly fansubs (there's a sub explaining some of the terms during the first episode). Only problem is some mistiming at the beginning of ep 21.
Comment:
Tomino+Kano+Akiman redux=fun. I read two or three reviews of Turn A Gundam that commented that Tomino seemed to be aiming for the 'laid back adventure with a climax' structure that Miyazaki films follow . But missed, due to "trying to amalgamate Miyazaki with teen angst" according to the animefu.com's review. Tomino succeeds here, at least in my book. A low body count and plenty of snow really does it for me even if the plotting is insane and Akino Murata didn't lend her voice to any role.
