Video:

Some of the graphics were really good in this movie but it contains 9 short episodes that all seem to be a little different in graphics from the other. The 1st episode (Final Flight of the Osiris) is awesome with graphics that make the characters almost seem real!!! while episode episode 7 (Beyond) is sort of what you see on saturday night adult swim.

Audio:

The audio seemed to be just fine though i was listening through my lil stero in my tv!! But at times i had to listen hard to hear wat some of the people were saying... so at those points subtitles came in handy

Subtitle:

There were no mistakes in the subtitles that i could tell but of course i only read the english version of it!!

Comment:

Overall id say this movie was average it wasnt the greatest ive seen but not the worst either.

Video:

While the experimental styles are sure to amaze, some, like Kid's Story, can become very frantic and sometimes u might want to put your DVD player into slow motion to capture every little detail(that is if you really care about the details). Aside from the hecticness,which kinda comes with the territory, this one rocks.

Audio:

The sound is amazing. Everything from the shouts and screams of tortured humans to the subtle heavy breathing, everything sounds great on this title.

Subtitle:

Subtitles are subtitles, what can you say. Nothing amazing here. You still have areas where they blink too fast, and others where the same line just kind of lingers.

Comment:

This title is an amazing piece of work, and as an anime fan, it warms my heart to see such a great(focus on the first movie mainly people) story to be crossed over into the anime world. And, just like the movie, this one sadly leaves you hanging around for more. I think everyone who watches it will think if certain(different for everyone, since people have their own taste) shorts were left out and different ideas put in, this could have been more than a great expansion on the Matrix, this could have been a great anime. Despite the confusion and questions left unanswered(sounds a lot like the movies, doesn't it) The Animatrix still comes out as a more than decent anime(that really sounds like the movie, minus the anime part) .

Video:

the picture on this dvd is top notch, you really notice it in final flight of the osiris with cgi which isn't that far away from the movies.crystal clear throughout .

Audio:

in keeping with the films the audio on this disk is excellent & with a good television & sound system it will blow your mind !

Subtitle:

all the subtitles are competentlly handled. i think this is because the english version also has the subtitle options.

Comment:

overall a highly impressive package which wuoldn't be out of place in anyones collection, regardless of wether you like the matrix or not the contrasting styles & excellent artwork throughout make this an essential purchase.
