Overall:
Video:
They did an excellent job remastering the R2s that this video was ripped from. I imagine it looks better now than it did when it was first broadcast back in the 70s.
Audio:
I noticed the audio warble once or twice. I'm guessing this problem comes from the originals. Other than that, great audio levels with no problems at all.
Subtitle:
There isn't much consitency to these subs. A few episodes have subtitling worthy of an R1 release but most of them are pretty engrishy. The timing is always good and the subs are very easy to read though. Just be prepared to interpret what is being said at times and get used to hearing one name said and another being typed in the subtitles.
Comment:
For the Lupin fan this is a great set. It has some of the best (and some of the worst) episodes made in this series. Each episode has chapter breaks after the opening and before the coming attractions to make it easy to skip parts you may not want to see. There is some pretty heavy duty psychedelia in this set. The aesthetic of the 70s comes through loud and clear.
