Video:

Almost perfect R2 rip, its usually very clear and pixelation rare. The official R2 Dvds were released around 1998 - 1999 though, so dont expect spectacular quality, but still its very good.

Audio:

Just simple stereo audio, but it gets the job done.

Subtitle:

The subtitles on the first 4 episodes are very good HK originals, that almost achieve fansub quality, but after that it drops to your standard AV Engrish.

Comment:

Lengend of Basara is a really great series that I enjoyed alot, and its definately worth picking up. Its really a shame that the subtitles on this drop to engrish after four episodes, this would be a great buy if they had added a fansub script, although I still suggest picking it up. (Fansubs of this series are next to ultra rare)

they were a few missing lines through out the set butvery few, few grammar errors and sometimes instead of writting (then) they would write (they), but happense actually 2 or 3 times during the whole set.. but overall I it's a great version and very understandable subs.

Comment:

A friend of mine was reading the manga and said it was good, she was right the manga itself ressembles the series a lot. There is indeed some comedy through it when it comes to Sarasa ( which happense to take Tatara's identity ) along with Shuri ( * SPOILER COMING BE WARNED * Which happens to be actually the Red King ) * END OF SPOILER * I found this quite entertaning and very enjoyable. What I hated though was the ending, they actually left an opening for you to think what you want, but I guess in the manga the story continues and not the anime version but still it's a good mini series to watch. well worth the money if you're into a great plot and twists through out the series, but be warned this is not an all packed action series, there is some action but only the minimum it requires since there is a romance story through it.
