Video:

Video was very good, a little macroblocking in high action scenes-but I really had to look closely to see it. I cranked the color up on my hdtv to take advantage of the lush backgrounds.

Audio:

Very good, mostly I only listen to the english tracks, this was very well done, no hissing or buzzing.

Subtitle:

Don't use em', but I did a spot check and they don't follow the dub at all, but still as good as most R1's as this is a rip of.

Comment:

The 3 El Hazard series are like Tenchi Muyo, retellings of the same theme, I think the best incarnation is the ova series but this one is better then The Alternative World. It captures the other worldly theme perfectly. Could it be because a lot of the people behind TM were also involved in this series?

Video:

video was quite perfect, pretty consistant throughout the series

Audio:

I only watched it with japanese audio, it was good. I did check out the english dub at various spots I didnt notice any problems

Subtitle:

Subs were almost perfect with a line or two missing in spots that were not important.

Comment:

A great set, its differs a bit from the other El hazard sets, but still good. I didn't notice the problem that megajo56 had were the one of the episodes skip.

Video:

The video here is excellent, no pixelation and very sharp and clear picture. Very nice release.

Audio:

The audio was clear and nice. I watched the entire set and found no fault here

Subtitle:

This is basically the same as what I said in my EL Hazard Alternate World (MAC) review. The subs are r1 same font and size. No mispellings but it had 1-2 lines of sub missing from each episode

Comment:

on one of the episodes on disc 2, near the halfway mark, the video freezes and jumps ahead 2-3 minutes into the show. I posted this on ArticNightfall and someone said he had the same problem, so I don't think it was caused by a defective disk.
