Video quality is very clean and clear, no problems that I found.
Audio:
Audio was pretty much perfect, but if there was anything wrong you would barely notice it.
Subtitle:
Subtiles are average, not bad but okay. When I first watched it I didnt even pay attention to the mistakes in spelling, which most of the time were just typos - names were correct (Except for Straight Cougar who always gets everyones names wrong). I only noticed the typos and such the second time I watched this set over. Not too dissapointing or annoying.
Comment:
This was my favorite anime for a long time, and everything is easy to understand. Story is good and easy to catch onto, characters very diverse and cool, lots of action, good audio. Im happy to have this in my collection. Go get it.

R2-ripped with some minor flaws: 1. The translucent green bars that come with some MI releases are there. 2. some few droputs, as if some complete frames were missing. 3. Sometime the lines get a little blocky, I think it's because some "half"-pictures/frames are missing. Still, it's very good.
Audio:
Nothing to complain about on my simple stereo TV.
Subtitle:
As said in the previous reviews, subs are based on fansubs, but have some flaws especially on the last 2 discs. Typing errors, some dropped lines or missing words, dialog of 2 persons in the same line, and some minor mistimings now and then. But names are right and grammar is good most of the time and the subs are always understandable.
Comment:
Not the most original series, but I found it entertaining enough to watch it in relatively short time. Everything included, this set scores a solid 4/5 with me.

Pretty clean. Nice, sharp picture with a few (typical) flaws that come with cramming 9 episodes on a disc.
Audio:
Very nice. Heard lots from my rear speakers.
Subtitle:
First disc gets a 4.5 out of 5. Very good fansub scripts that are well timed. Discs 2 and 3 get a 4 out of 5. Things slipped a bit. Still very clear though (just some timing issues and a few more spelling and grammar mistakes than the first disc). You will notice the difference from the first disc, but it you just watched the second and third, you'd think they were pretty darn good.
Comment:
The show is a mixed bag. Like it has been said before, Scryed is kind of like a "Japanese X-Men". Some people seem to be born with crazy powers and they are ostricized for them. But the similarities end there. It's about one alter user (the mutants are called "alter users") who refuses to get caught or work for the government, while another alter user goes above and beyond the call of duty for the gov. in order to track down the alter user who killed his mother. Lots of crazy fights ensue and the plot is twisted and turned a lot near the end. Typical anime plot devices. Nothing spectacular, but it isn't boring either. Enjoyable, but not ground breaking.

Video:
The video was really crisp and beautiful. Check the images and you'll see. The problems came in the form of 2 minor video quirks. The first and most obvious was just like... a weird frame once or twice per episode. It'd only flash for 1/30th of a second but it was kind of annoying. Secondly, the video would also do a weird "jaggy" effect on straight lines about twice per episode. It looked like bad interlace artifacting or something.
Audio:
No complaints here. It all sounded great.
Subtitle:
I may just be picky, but these subs werent all that great. They may be leagues better than standard HK DVD fare, but it was still rather hard to understand. The first half of the series I had no problem understanding, but when it got to the second half, something seemed to go wrong. The timing would be really weird while multiple people were talking and you couldnt tell who was saying what. It would also seem to drop a line or so during a convo. You'd get the basic jist of the conversation, but you'd be left pretty confuzzled from it. The punctuation is decent, but not great.
Comment:
This is a pretty good set, but slightly flawed. So, to sum it up, it is pretty understandable, but expect to be reviewing some conversations to make out who-said-what. Menus/etc: The menus were pretty neat. The one for disc 1 took a bit too long to load, but disc 2 and 3 seemed fine. The chapter select is in Chinese, so it may be a bit hard to navigate. Also of mention here is the opening of the anime. Theres a ton of different openings for this anime (my guess is around 15) and all are presented here in front of their proper episode. They are also put on here creditless as somewhat hidden extras. Overall this is a good set. It has its flaws but is worth the money, in my opinion.

Crisp and clear, DVD sourced most likely. Slight blurring but not very much considering how much movement the show has, and especially since it's only 3 discs.
Audio:
I can't really tell, I have a lame mono TV but Kazuma and Ryuhou were yelling a lot so it sounded fine to me. ^^; Audio on the extras are distinctively lower, though.
Subtitle:
These were directly sourced from digital fansubs minus the little side-notes here and there. Typos here and there; it was probably OCR. Punctuation is ok; occasional missing periods, exclamations and question marks were good. Basically, think of the fansubs without proofreading, and you have it. Due to the fansub source, however, the script is quite good. Unfortunately, episode titles are rarely if ever subbed correctly.
Comment:
Scryed Studio: Manga International # of discs: 3 # of episodes: 26 Packaging: 5/5. Gatefold box with a slipcover. Standard fare, nothing extraordinary. It is very colorful though, and no horrible e-mail addresses. =) Also, just a side note: HK subs are infamous for silly translations of certain one-liners, most of all "you that guy" from Anime Studio's version of Giant Robo. In the first episode there is an instance of "kisama!" (loosely trans. as "asshole", "bastard") which is quite deliberately subbed as "you that guy". Given that this was digisub sourced I think it was just a cruel practical joke from someone in MI. =P Interface: Animated menus in English. Chaptered with "prologue - episode - ending"; no part A or part B, although all eyecatches and prologues were left intact (this is a huge pet peeve of mine, so definite plusses there; the prologues to Scryed are fairly important to the rest of each episode). Extras: Three textless versions of the OP (each version changes as the series progresses and characters/techniques are revealed). The volume on these is distinctly lower for some reason. Content: s.CRY.ed is a fighting anime that has splashes of X-Men and romance drama in it, but first and foremost it features lots of guys trying to beat the crap out of each other. My personal opinion of certain things aside, the show is excellent on a technical level: lots of digital animation and panning, but done in a way that isn't overtly distracting. The budget and pacing remain consistently good for most of the show (my opinion of the last two episodes are not very high, but I am not alone in this so I know it's not just me ^^;), and if you're looking for a fighting show more intelligent than DBZ, pick this up. (A radish would have more intelligence than DBZ.) The HK set is quite good, not as good as Noir or Pretear but definitely among MI's new wave of tailored-for-US HK sets. Recommendation: It's not a masterpiece but it's definitely a fun and enjoyable show. The set's not too shabby, and given the fact that this has not yet been licensed (even by ADV, for some unfathomable reason) this is about the only way you'll be able to see a DVD-quality version of it anytime soon.

Video - 4.8/5: The video is perfect DVD quality except that there are a few flickers of the screen that last for about 1/10 of a second, and they only occur about once every 5 episodes or so episodes.
Audio:
Audio - 5/5: Perfect audio quality, no problems here.
Subtitle:
Subtitles 3.6/5: Don't let the score fool you, the translations of this title are fine. In fact -- they are from the many fansubs, but there are a few problems in the subs' format. One problem is that when two or more characters are speaking to each other, both subs combine into one paragraph instead of seperate sentences. An example would be (this is not an actual quote from the anime) "Do you want to go to the store? Yes, I want to go to the store." This happens toward the end of the first disc and throughout the rest of the set, so it requires a small amount of common sense (we all have that, right? ^_~). Other than that odd problem, there's the a bunch of typos, mistimings, and missing lines (though the missing lines really don't happen that much at all).
Comment:
Overall - 4/5: Other than the small subbing problems, this is a very good set, and I am happy because Scryed is one of my favorite anime, and I am glad to finally be able to see it in high DVD quality with, for the most part, decent subs. This is a good buy and I highly recommend it...unless you have no common sense. =P

Very crip and definately is a well done R2 rip. The animation itself it superb too. Only noticed on 1 ocassion that there was a frame drop out but it can easily go noticed and only lasts for a fraction of a second.
Audio:
Standard 2ch, clean and no hisses.
Subtitle:
Pretty good I think I only watched parts of it in English but there weren't any drastic problems that I can think off.
Comment:
A very original fighting show that does a good job of pushing the story forward while giving viewers their "fight of the episode" fix. The ending wasn't exactly satisfying but the rest of the show more than makes for it in my opinion. Highly recommended if you enjoyed Yuyu Hakushou or Jojo's Bizzare adventure.

don't know if it's stereo or anything else but it sounded great.

I just watched a few minutes of the first episode, and it seems to be fansubs or very good HK originals. But I'm french, so it's difficult for me to be really objective.

This set doesn't seem to have any extras, and each episode has one opening and one ending, the next episode preview is also here.

Clean video, good colors. Show doesn't look as pretty as some of newer shows, but it still looks cool.
Audio:
Sounds fine.
Subtitle:
The episodes on the first disc or two use fansubs from a couple of sources (who translate Kazuma's attacks as either First Blitz or First Bullet) and the last disc has mostly very good HK originals (a deduction made from "Alter User" becoming "Alter Capabilitor"). As for the grammar, most of the time it's fine but you'll still find some awkward sentences or chopped-up sentences once in a while. Other infrequent problems are timing being off by a line for a scene, missing lines, typos/mistypings, etc. These aren't bad problems, but in some episodes they are more noticeable than in most of the others.
Comment:
Extras: After the last episode, each disc has (unsubbed) creditless openings for each of the episodes on that disc. On Disc 3, following all the creditless openings they also have an unsubbed music video using various scenes from the TV series.
