Video was crisp and clear, although, at times, the age of the film can show through.

No problems here. The music really fits the tone and story of the film extremely well.

Comment:
This is an excellent film in my opinion. If you know anything about the work of Kenji Miyazawa (either through his books, or the film based on his life, Shoji Kawamori's "Kenji's Spring" or "Spring and Chaos" as it was called over here) then you'll definaltey understand, and appreciate this film. And, even if you don't know too much about the author, it still is an amazing film in and of itself. Just like "Kenji's Spring" the curiousity of citizens towards modernization of Japan at the turn of the century is captured quite well. Definately a must have, in any anime collection, whether you're familiar with Miyazawa's works or not.

Ok. Rather pixelated but does not deter viewing.

No problem heard. The simple digitally synthesized scores interestingly compliment the graphic.

Comment:
A symbolic title with simply animation yet captivating to watch. It's SLOW. The underlying plot is similar to "A tree of psalm" but with inferior graphic and story. That's how I see it.
