I agree with the other reviews visuals, audio, and subs are not good. The content: The use of CG is pretty annoying, but the animation is pretty cool. Men and women live on different planets and wage war...women are superior in fighting and technology. The women capture the men and when they join together they are super powerful...but most of them do not get along. The storyline sounds interesting...but the story is pretty flat and does not have all the cuteness or the comedy of Captain Tylor or Nadesico. I would not recommend this series for quality of the DVD and for the storyline.

Subtitles aren't great, video ain't great, sound is the only thing that comes close to decent. Luckily that most of the subtitles you can make out but with all the errors, you're left guessing a lot.

The video fluctuates here, it looks good and then goes horribly wrong. The show makes use of extensive CG sequences and low bit rates and CG don't mix. Action sequences get blurry as Vandread is quite hyper in its CG battles. The audio is descent. The subs are just bad. They make sense but they are really horrid engrish with some really stupid name choices. Can be quite confusing, the subs are just plain old nasty.
