Overall:
Video:
Video is OK. It's an R1 rip, but with quite some pixelation on fast scenes. Also looks kind of unsharp and shaky, but that may have it's cause in the original source.
Audio:
Sounds a little bit dull and there's a noticeable 60 Hz hum as in many of the early AS releases
Subtitle:
Maybe I'm a bit harsh, giving only 3.5 to the subs. But I deducted one star, because they used the sub for the hearing impaired. So you get "dubtitles". And even if you don't understand a word in Japanese, you'll notice that the subs don't reflect what is being said in the Japanese audio. Another half star is deducted, because in half of episode 4 the subs are 2 seconds early.
Comment:
This is one of the early AS rips. I think it's a digital to analog and back to digital rip, as I can't think of a way to produce a hum loop in a pure digital copy. This set's quality is only slightly above average, but has no real big faults that would prevent you from watching it. The anime itself was mildly entertaining. But with only 6 episodes it wasn't boring either. All in all this is no must-buy, but it also isn't wasted money. I didn't regret the $5, I paid for it, but I would have surely regretted paying the price of the official release. Equipment used: Sony DVD-NS300 PAL codefree player; cheap Grundig 27" PAL stereo TV
