You can see it's vhs rip in this series but besides it nothing wrong.

Audio:

Vhs sound can't expect much but good to hear.

Hi just like to warn fellow anime fans. Anime Studios sort of spinned off from Another DVD which released the first initial d series many months back. My comment is these 2 box sets. Stage 1 vid quality is very obviously a vhs rip whereas Stage 2 vid quality is dvd rip. The subtitles are first class as i suspect them to be fan subs. For stage 1, the subtitles in the last few episodes in disc 2 and disc 3 are all mistimed and it is very noticeable. The main complaint lies in the fact that these dvds were not burnt properly. ALL discs have some problem playing back on my toshiba, pioneer or playstation 2. You get a disc error message. However they do work on my pc dvd rom and china made non branded dvds players. So they kinda sucked because of this.

Yes the subtitles are wonderful. Some places are slightly mistimed but not very noticeable. I though the video was actually very good. of course i did watch it on my computer so it was slightly fuzzy everything else was great . A good buy
