I haven't downloaded a single DivX or XVid movie that hasn't fit to a cd. Even if the file size is larger than the capacity of an 80min cd, it will fit (they make them just the right size to fit on a cd, and will usually split the movie into 2 files if it won't fit on one cd... unless it's a real amateur doing it). Just make sure you're using something like Nero that can do a little over-burning, and finalize after writing. I've had lots of movies that I've panicked about 'cause I -never- thought would fit on a cd, and they burnt fine.
