Any new anime I should check out???

JUst finished samurai champloo (one of myfav series now) and can't think of any of ther anime (series or movies) to get into. Some favorites of mine are EVA, texhnolyze, boogiepop, champloo, kenshin OVAs. So based of this list is there any titles I should check out? Thanks...

Basilisk Ad I know they're not new but... Berserk Cowboy Bebop Trigun Any (and I mean ANY) Miyazaki movie Also why do people like the Kenshin OVAs but not the series? I thought the series was alot better! Krooner

Ghost in the Shell Stand-Alone Complex? Last Exile? Kino's Journey? (None are exactly new, but ...) How about Samurai 7? BTW I really like the Kenshin series too, especially the Kyoto arc. (Although I LOVE the Trust and Betrayal OVAs ... )

Im currently watching blood+ karin black lagoon ergo proxy kerero gunso goodwitch of the west strwberry panic girl meets girl(kashimashi?) Just finished gunx sword,mai hime and my otome, all of which i enjoyed.

u MUST watch Kenshin OAV, the original one, which is a prequal to the TV series... that thing is amazing!
I think more infuential than Trigun or Bebop

These are mostly older titles.
If you're a big EVA fan, you should check out Rahxephon. At first it seems to be an EVA ripoff, and then puts a nice spin on things. I thought Requiem from the Darkness was excellent, but my tastes run to all things horror. Haibane-Renmei was quiet and contemplative, another work from Abe, who brought us the tripped out Lain (which is a must if you like Boogiepop). Wolf's Rain was also quite good. And a hearty second to anything Miyazaki! |
